How quickly did that come around? One minute we were rehearsing for ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ and now rehearsals for Panto start next week! We can’t wait to make a start on this one. It’s our first Panto written by the brilliant Tom Whalley and we’re so excited for the first read through. Tickets are already on sale. This is going to be a hoot!

So long ‘Bonnie and Clyde’

We’ve just had the most amazing week performing ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ and now we are all suffering from the post- show blues!

We’re delighted to say that it appears our audiences loved the show just a much as we did and we’ve received lots and lots of wonderful feedback. We’re so glad that you all fell in love with this show just as much as us.

Here’s a small selection of images of our dress rehearsal by David Brennan of One Imagery.

It was also great to have Annie Guy, Associate Director and Choreographer of ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ London visit us to watch our dress rehearsal. Fabulous as always to have our President, Jason Cook, come along to support us at Thursday’s performance.

Rehearsals are underway!

 Our cast is announced!

Rehearsals are underway for the North East’s amateur premiere of the fantastic hit musical ‘Bonnie & Clyde’. We are absolutely delighted to have the rights to perform this incredible show in May 2023.

Our auditions are over and we have a superb production team and cast to help bring this beautiful, brutal love story to life. This production sees many of the cast and production team back together following last year’s award winning ‘Young Frankenstein’, as well as welcoming some amazingly talented new members to our theatre family.

On Friday, we cast the final piece in our jigsaw- Young Clyde, and we’re delighted to welcome Freddie Taylor to the company as he takes his first ‘big’ stage role and his first leap into the world of musical theatre with JMTC.

Tickets will be on sale via TicketSource very soon and you will be able to click the link at the side of this page. Keep following us on social media for news and views as we draw ever nearer to opening night on 10th May.

Summer is here!

And just like that, Summer is here!

We had an amazing time performing Mel Brooks’ “Young Frankenstein” and our audiences loved it. We had super feedback on social media too. After all of the hard work and preparation, we can’t believe it’s over. It was so good to be back on stage again after a long break.

We’re busy rehearsing for our Summer Concert which is in celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee. We'll be performing songs from some of the Queen’s favourite musicals.

Tickets are on sale for our Pantomime which is ‘Dick Whittington’. You can get those from the side of this page or via Facebook and TicketSource.

‘What’s the Buzz?’

We’re so excited here at JMTC because rehearsals for our next show in May 2020, ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ have begun! The last few Tuesdays have been spent with the ensemble rehearsing some of the amazing numbers like ‘What’s the Buzz?’, ‘Hosanna’ and ‘The Temple’. It’s already taking shape on the floor and sounding great. Our principal cast sacrificed Valentine’s night so they could rehearse together- that’s love for you!

The box office is now open and you can grab your tickets either online or by phone. All details are in the poster below. A link to our online ticket sales is just at the side of this page.

It’s set to be a spectacular experience with a new take on this classic show. So, get your diary out and set a date to come and see us.
